Rayon say whaaaat?

So at the very end of my day, upon writing the Fabricworm newsletter, I realized we received (for the very first time!) rayon! Now, to be honest, I didn't really know what to expect because I've never sewn with it before, but I think I'm in love.

I've been hoping and wishing for more apparel worthy fabrics for some time now. Of course I could buy apparel fabric elsewhere, but I don't like to cheat on the ol' homestead.

Anywho, upon this realization, I rushed downstairs from the crows nest to take a gander. After all, I would need to write a little blurb about it, so I should probably know what I was taking about.

To my surprise, I was instantly intrigued and inspired.

... So I bought a yard. Plus some buttons. And some Birch Organic Solid Flannel for the lining.

Now flannel for lining? Ok it sounds strange, but this flannel is quite thin, but oh-so soft and cozy. It is winter time after all!

I have started my chicken scratch pseudo pattern making notes and I am very close to cutting.
